FAQs
How do I start a room under TLB Club?
Hey future rockstar moderator! In order to get started as a room mod, please fill out our APPLICATION FORM. From there, one of our administrators will reach out to answer any questions and help support you in your room.
I want to start a room, but I need moderator help.
Hey friend, we’ve all been there and we’ve got you! Once you fill out this form, an administrator will connect to discuss your vision for the room and some of our more experienced event facilitators can lend a hand to get started. Best practice is having 2-4 consistent room co-hosts, so start to think about who would be a great addition to your room. We also will give you online training for greater quality control. You can ask any question at any time in our private WhatsApp group, our private LinkedIn Group, or in our weekly coaching/collaboration calls. Finally, you can invite one of our leadership team to watch your room and give you feedback.
Do you have any tips for promoting a room?
From posting a short video on your social media channels, to creating a Post, Event, Tweet or a Story about your upcoming room, we have lots of ideas for you to use. We even invite our Lead Moderators to share on our LinkedIn company page, Instagram account, and in our private WhatsApp group. Check out our full list of suggestions HERE.
How about tips for moderating a room?
TLB Club proudly supports a number of experienced mods, all willing to share their best practices. We’ve compiled these best practices here. We also offer internal training and coaching for our Lead Moderator community to help them get better. Some current and future training sessions will include:
✓ Social Audio and Livestreams for newbies
✓ How TLB Club event moderators can rock their rooms
✓ How to promote and grow your weekly sessions
✓ How to deal with sensitive topics or challenging rooms (or people!)
✓ Integrating your digital presence and brand with your weekly rooms
✓ Leveraging other social audio apps or livestream apps
✓ Monetize and grow your business with your room
✓ Growing your own club or community
What do I need to do to be a featured TLB mod?
Featured moderators not only host their own consistent rooms (at least 3 sessions per month), but are willing and available to assist others in hosting their rooms under the club. Sound like you? Please indicate your interest by emailing us here and we’ll reach out soon with more details! Or you can apply directly to host your own regular room. We’d love to get your headshot, expertise areas, and bio on our website.
Do I have to join a paid membership to host a room?
No you don’t have to. There are many ways to host a room without being part of the Inner Circle Community of Lead Moderators.
– Any member of the TLB Club can start and host a room on Clubhouse. However those rooms would be private, open only to the online TLB members. But it would not reach the public who are live on Clubhouse.
– Anyone can apply to do a one-time public guest room in the TLB Club. But we recommend doing that with several others who will co-mod with you. This doesn’t require paid membership, but it is only for one-time rooms or special events.
– Anyone can be in a public TLB room as a guest speaker, but not as the lead moderator. This doesn’t require paid membership, but some work on your part to build those relationships and get those opportunities.
– Anyone who wants to specifically lead and host a regular room — one that is associated with the TLB Club, it’s brand and community — needs to sign up for the membership. That way we can help support their growth, ensure quality rooms, and build their presence with the community of lead mods, the trainings, coaching and collaboration tools and more. These are among many important benefits of joining our paid membership community.
